After 10 hours of game-play I can say that the game has a very good foundation. The art and music were great and everything worked smoothly. There is no unnecessary fluff and it cuts straight to the action. Although the progression and combat system could use some work, I think it's a good game. I'm interested to see what changes will be made in the future.
So I got this game, because I remembered it from my teenage years. I didn't play it much back than, so it was a pretty new experience to me. This game is perfect if you want to have a relaxing and atmospheric experience. Start a nice trucker playlist on YouTube, start that game and just have a good time. It has some flaws for sure. The physics is a bit buggy when you hit other vehicles or at high speed. If you drive too fast it can happen that you just get stuck on the road. Can be a bit annoying, but it doesn't happen to often and you can always reset (although that costs cash) The game also isn't really challenging. You need to get 51% market share, but your opponents basically are only numbers on a screen and their share very slowly increases over time. So basicially its just a matter of time till you win. Especially if you hired other truckers. You can basically leave the game alone and you will still win when you hired a few truckers. Apart from that the atmosphere is really good, although the graphics are pretty aged.
The game is basically a playable James Bond movie, in cartoon style. If that sounds good to you. definetly buy this game! I personally am not a huge fan of linear shooters, so that game isn't particulary one of my favourites. Still its a soild shooter with good staging. I also think the game didn't age too well, not so much on the graphic side, but in regards of gameplay. Its very straight forward. Not much to explore, no stats, abilites, side quest or something like that. But if you like the purity of this design you will have a lot of fun with it. I bought the game because I knew it from my teenage years, but I am honestly a bit dissappointed. It was pretty great at the time it got released, but nowadays it just feels mediocre.
