I think that there are a lot of unfair expectations for the game, so here is my perspective: 1: What is CP77? Some people seem to think that CP77 is a SciFi-GTA/RPG/AAA-Shooter/Deus Ex-like/Loot-shooter. IMO, they're all missing the point. At it's core, CP77 is a game about a Cyberpunk story and showing what the future might look like. This is where the focus is at. The story-telling is the core and the main-story is told incredibly well. Another main focus is showing what the future may look like and what kind of social/economic implications that has for us. That is also done incredibly well. The other aspects of the game are just additions to the core experience. It is unfair to expect CP77 to be the best game in all of the mentioned above categories. 2. Roleplaying? No matter which background you choose, you are always V the mercenary. A good person at heart, with some flaws. The background is just used to explain V's origins. This takes some freedom away from the player, but it allows CP77 to give you some awesome missions/story parts that you would have missed otherwise. For most quests and the main story, there exists a linear 'core' path. But a lot of 'optional' or 'secondary' missions actually change the outcome of the 'core' path. This applies to the main story as well. This is really similar to Witcher 3, actually. 3. The good: - Game looks great, I play on 'High' on a Medium-Spec PC from 2018, it runs fine. - Atmosphere is great - Main-Story & Characters are great - Some side-stories are also great, but not all - The skill-system is much better than in Witcher 3 - Lots of options for combat (Swords/Clubs/Guns/Grenades/Stealth/Quick-Hacks for 'magic') 4. The bad: - Missing technical polish. There are issues like static key bindings, performance issues and some bugs. - There are too many 'kill some thugs and loot them' quests. - The random loot makes you look like a clown - Some skill-trees are much stronger than others. - Horrible Console launch
