STAR WARS™ Episode I: Racer

Solves all issues

Not only does the game work perfectly on a modern system (i5 8600K), but it also saves the track times and fixes the black-screen and acceleration bugs. Add to that, Gog.com also included widescreen support.

STAR WARS™: Rogue Squadron 3D

No nostalga, just honest review

Star Wars Rogue Squadron has always been one of my favourite games. While the game is playable, my main issues with the GOG.com version are as follows: * Game feels a bit laggy - this is more likely the result of running on Windows 8.1 rather than the GOG version, as retail does the same. I've tried a few things, but nothing has improved and it is a long way short of the experience I have on XP with the same setup (using retail). * Cannot configure joystick correctly - the button bindings only show up when running in Windows 95 compatibility (after pressing 'default' settings), but even then I couldn't map functions to a different button other than the default. Bottom line: a very big let down. I think I'll just stick with the retail versions that I have and retain XP for them. This is just my experience on my computer setup: Windows 8.1; 4 GB RAM; i7 3.6 GHz; Nvidia GTX 780.
