I'm on my fourth attempt (two successes and one failure, and this one looks like an 80+ day journey too), and each time, though there are some decisions I tend to repeat, the narrative and possibilities change enough each time to keep the game interesting. Even with the same starting choices, it's rearkable how different, and unexpected each attempt to go round the world in 80 days can be. This game has been an unexpected delight!
I bought this game back in the 80s when it first came out and spent a lot of time with my friends sitting around a Commodore 128 working our way through the various storylines. For those who have played this before, you will understand when I say that we spent a lot of time on the Scorpitron. I hope younger players might be willing to give this a chance. It demands a lot of patience, and at first the game can be unforgiving; but the learning curve is pretty steep, so if you stick with it, I think you'll appreciate the rigor of this game. In fact, I remember when Fallout came out, I thought it was a sequel to this--in a way it is, kind of (in my mind anyway). Enjoy.
