I actually bought this Reboot version from Impulse/Stardock already 2009...and it remained untouched for several months (I was aware with the hype attached but just kept playing something else and then another game...etc...). After several quick attempts I decided to give this a serious try early 2010.... ...and this was a complete experience. The total hook. The best combination of role playing, exploration, loot collecting....and puzzles ever: those text adventures were the final nail. Incredible satisfaction whenever I got one passed. The play balance was just perfect. Tons of fun moments. Hilarious content. Fun eastern eggs. Challenging "do not put your nose there yet even though you apparently want to" -moments. Now I am planning to start my 2nd playthrough...last time I voluntarily skipped land battles...may be this time I give them a try? Maybe the best PC game ever?
