This game has held up and actually puts modern games to shame. The design and immersive world, the music, the story, the characters, the creatures, the villians... it's all top tier. 6/5 stars.
I've sank hours into this game ~accidentally~ which usually tells me how fun a game really is. I enjoy games like Jydge and Neon Chrome, and this game fits right in. The level of challenge is high enough to punish you for more than just carelessness, it will punish you for lack of planning and forethought. I suggest everyone try this game for themselves, especially if you've enjoyed a top-down shooter before.
This is a great game, criticized for the exact reason that me and friends love it: it's not like standard XCOM games. As in, it's not turn based, top down strategy.. It's a third person squad shooter, with a great story! It always annoyed me to see people hate this game, and give bad reviews, just because it's not turn based. This game came out on Xbox 360, well during that time period, and having a copy on PC (especially GOG!) is totally worth picking up! If you like alien invasion, third person shooter/action games, big stories, and single player with the option of co-op, this is a great buy!
