Outdated character models. You have to turn down the effects volume or it overwhelms the character dialogue completely and you can't hear anything. Its basically a hack and slash with a few temporary other weapons tossed in. Nothing that I'd buy.
What a wonderful game. Its all about exploration, enjoying the scenery and your time up the mountain. There is no fall damage, enemies, death, etc. I played on Xbox and, though I knew it'd be short, I wanted more. The main character is a bird person and just their soaring alone is a fun game mechanic.
Once I got the cqfixpatch_allinone file installed and it set on windows 10/11 the game worked great just like the old days. But it took a couple tries. At first it'd double up the menu in a big mess. Skip that ini file edit the other guy suggested, it does nothing at all. Once it has that patch in, it works fine. Its a patch that GOG should really provide along with the game. You will probably have to set the graphics level up once you get the game working and also increase the game speed (it ran crazy slow when I started). Oh and ignore any file alerts on that patch, it's harmless.
