I really like this game. It has a good story, combat is satisfying and the turn-based strategical combat system feels rewarding to me. Things that set this game apart is that it doesn't feel like a slog half-game through as most other rpgs and the length is appropriate. There are some nice twists in the story and it's fairly faithful to the dark eye system so the people who like it, i think it's a no brainer. Graphics are nice and sounds as well. About the only thing i disliked is randomness in some combat actions where even if the game shows you that you have 90% percent of success, it's not completely true as there are some other rolls which make the probability lower, therefore those success chances are misleading.
I like this game, it has good combat, story could have been better but the major flaw of this is the buying and selling system which in my opinion artificially raises difficulty of this game and adds lot of unneeded hassle. Each shopkeeper is only buying certain few things and from those he will buy only a certain number. For example engineer will be buying 2 energy weapons, 4 electrical parts and batteries, gunner will buy 4 firerarms, 2 crossbows, 3 melee weapons, 4 firearm parts and bullets. So you need to walk from one town to the other and back to sell all your stuff because you need to buy the small number of things which are for sale and which are overpriced badly. This part of the game is taking me half the time. Skills and features system is good but character creator lacks few predefined characters. It's entirely possible having to restart your first game because your character was done badly because there is no way to find out, in the start, which feats and stats are needed. If creators skip add predefined characters and skip the stupid selling system then this will be a worthy game in fallout style.
Dreamfall features great music, funny dialogues, intriguing story and good graphics. Particularly the story is very touching but also very sad. I think that Dreamfall is the only game which managed to feel me so sad after playing it. During the course of the game i fell in love with the main protagonist - Zoe and then.... I think this is why many people dislikes the game because it just ends badly but not all stories should have a happy end - that's the life.
