The game is beautiful, theres no doubts there. The gunplay feels pretty smooth, and the immersive animations are really cool. It's been fun exploring caves and parts of the Chernobyl exclusion zone. HOWEVER, and this makes me sad to say, there are some current issues that are really hindering the enjoyment. 1) Repair costs vs. incoming money. Everything takes quite a few shots to kill, which would be fine since ammo is fairly plentiful, but unfortunately firing your gun deals lots of damage quickly to your gun. An outing where you get unlucky with spawn rates will easily drain like 15-20% from your gun which will cost like 3-4k coupons to fix. I got a job to find a rare artifact which will give 3k, and other jobs are giving like 500ish. So you tend to be in debt fairly easily if you aren't careful. 2) The spawning. As a big fan of the previous STALKER games, I loved how A-LIfe made the zone feel alive. I don't know if it's currently bugged, or just not implemented in this one, but the zone is basically empty in between points of interest. And at POIs, a random spawn of enemy types will appear that you deal with then it's over. And I do mean appear, I've cleared out an area, turned to leave, then get a spotted icon and the same 3-4 bandits appear behind me like 5 or so times now. It kinda ruins the vibe of a living world. There is a great base here, and hopefully it'll only get better after a few fixes however!
