Before you start the game for the first time make sure you go to Setting->Additional Executables->Game Configuration (in GOG Galaxy) to check or set the controls to your liking. The game doesn't tell you the controls otherwise. You can also do that by openings settings.exe in the same location the game's .exe is. Aside from controls and language, there aren't any settings to change. Aside from that though, it's a functioning port. If you want to play MG1, this is probably the way to do it.
