Charming

Charming story, so-so combat, gorgeous graphics and art direction. The story doesn't explain everything, and there's seem to be some filler content, but it's quite charming nonetheless. The only gripe I had was having to backtrack a lot in some parts, like having to talk to a character, then go back from where I came to see some dialogue, then go back to the place I just left to see the rest. It doesn't happen often, but it breaks the flow. Other than that, the pixel art and the art direction were incredible. As someone else already said, it looks like a pixelated version of a Ghibli movie. If the story didn't have pacing issues, it would've been a 5-star for me.

Sacred 2 Gold

A good "not so good" ARPG

Sacred 2 is a deeply flawed ARPG. However, it has its own charm, a nice pacing (if you know what you are doing) and a lot of humor. The clichés and unusual combat are just part of its charm. For me, it will always be remembered as a relaxing game from a time before games took themselves too seriously to try anything different. I just can't give it 5 starts because it is practically mandatory to play with the Community Patch, and you need to read some wiki articles to understand how character progression works, but if you like to collect loads of loot in a gigantic open-world environment, it is a very nice game to play.
