Spore was always a great game held back by behind the scenes issues. GOG is probably the best place to purchase it as it is still purchaseable in the first place. allows use of the online severs, allows the use of mods, comes with all DLC, and is just very complete overall. Spore is a game you can get lost in for hours, it really is something special. It may crash a fair bit but this is one of the few games that can crash maybe once an hour and ill still play all day. just don't forget to save frequently. You should definitely play if you have not already!
