So they added a tech tree, weapons, tech, a couple units, and a new questline. Take in parts are as follows: 1) Tech tree: This 'high-risk, high-reward' tree is very little reward for very high risk. 1 point and done. 2) Weapons: Welcome additions for variations sake. Nothing ground breaking, but all welcome. 3) Tech: Some exceptional new additions that can change how you play dramatically. Very nice. 4) New units: I prefer only Servitors, Rangers, or Kastelons and that's if I've a maxed Secutor, which is not every run, else only Servitors. Meh. 5) Questline: A visual-book style extra set of missions. I doubt it impacts your endings regardless of how you play, but they don't count against your Necron timer and do offer an increased challenge so some rewards, so yay. Overall, is it worth the price? I thought so, but more importantly, reverse engineering this should give modders insight on how to make better additions, which I think is the real reward.

So the (previous) Heretek expansion covers all of what this 'expansion' is offering aside from 1 axe and an pdf artbook. And while Heretek was okay for the price (I got it on sale), this is too little content for money. It seems like they replaced the original devs for Heretek, but there were no devs for this cash grab. ADDING A WEAPON IS NOT AN EXPANSION.
