Before we start: this game windows version on steam include a map editor where you can create new levels from the game, since this editor is linked to steam workshop this is not included on gog version. If you already got the gog version you can mail to frozenbyte support to get a steam code, if not I suggest to get the humblebundle version so that you can get a drm-free version and a steam version. The editor is still windows only. That said, this game is a pure stealth where you can rewind and stop time, there are 2 time of enemy and a girl that you need to escort during the whole game. A nonlethal run is really challenging while it is really easy (but still lots of fun) kill everybody on your path. If you want to complete the achivements in one save it's better to just do first the nonlethal run because if Lily discover that you are an assassin you need to reastart the game with a new save to "clear" her memory. The story is not really good, but still it is not bad. there are multiple ending that depends on: - lethal or nonlethal run. - kill or spare the king life. - Lily know or don't know if you are an assassin if you make a nonlethal run and spare the king life you get the real good ending (SPOILER* Lily go with Shadwen, but Lily propose that idea *SPOILER). You can still get a good ending if you spare the king life (SPOILER* Lily go with Shadwen, but Shadwen propose that idea *SPOILER) If you kill the king you get the bad ending (SPOILER* Lily refuse to go with Shadwen, Lily don't care about guards life LOL *SPOILER) there is a demo of this game (that you can only now find on humblebundle page. before the release there was a steam and gog demo version too). remember that the demo is from a early version of the game so there are some glitch, still is a good way to understand if you like the basic mecanic of Shadwen or not. Finally this is a day one mac and linux release with a really good price. 5 stars because this is a really good indie game.
this is a really good RPG, with good and deep story, real choices, real reputation system, real tactics combat, and multiple path to finish quests (violent or pacifist). the only real problem of this game is the movements with mouse. Compared to the other point and click it is really difficult to move. Also the management of teammates is very primitive (you must steal to resume an item that you own or trade it). I own the previous version of this game (Interplay with mac wineskin version), but with the use of portingkit you can still download the wineskin wrapper and install this version on that wrapper. If you don't own this game, just buy it. despite the flaws, it is still one of the best RPGs ever created, and the only one with an "Hokuto no Ken" world. italiano è un RPG veramente ben fatto, con un'ottima storia, scelte che hanno un impatto, un sistema di reputazione, dei combattimenti tattici (a normale bisogna fare attenzione), e diversi path per finire le quest (si possono finire molte quest sia in maniera violenta, sia stealth, sia pacifista con il semplice dialogo). L'unico vero problema di questo gioco è il movimento con il mouse. A differenza di altri punta-e-clicca è davvero frustrante cercare di muoversi nella mappa. Inoltre la gestione dell'inventario dei compagni di squadra è molto primitiva, si deve scambiare/commerciare o rubare (senza conseguenze) ai propri compagni di squadra, non c'è un menù apposito. Ho la vecchia versione con ancora la versione per mac del gioco (interplay, fatta con wineskin). Ma con il programma portingkit si può facilmente scaricare ancora il wrapper e installarci dentro questa versione. Quindi è molto semplice avere una versione per mac funzionante. Se non avete questo gioco, compratelo. Nonostante i piccoli difetti, è comunque uno dei migliori RPG mai creati, ed è l'unico con un mondo simile a quello di "Ken il Guerriero". Su oldgamesitalia trovate la patch amatoriale per tradurre interamente il gioco in italiano.
Play this game with OpenMW. 1. OpenMW runs natively on Windows, OSX (Mac) and Linux. 2. Although it is still at the 0.39 version you can easily finish the main campaign and 2 expansions. With zero bugs. 3. The load times are reduced to zero, and swimming is much better. 4. Since the goal is to create a real engine, you can use the editor to edit the script mod. Morrowind is a good RPG but not my favourite and I don't think is a masterpiece. But compared to Skyrim it is really good because: 1. you start in a town and with a really easy character creation 2. the main story is actually really good. The bad thing about this game are the quests after Seyda Neen and before the end of Vivec informants... there are a good amount of quests that are just boring and that cannot be skipped. I bought it only to try OpenMW, and to be able to actually enjoy it I had to wait for the main quest plot for few months... without the high 10€ price I would not stuck so long for a game wait to enjoy it (and I play many old games today, this is the only one that I had problem to start). If you want to start play morrowind today I suggest to just get boots of blindness speed as soon as possible and create a 100% magicka resistance magic (guild mage) for 1 sec + sell as many armor as you can to train youself to level 20 + get Levitate spells. Italian translation was ready one year ago, but they only promise to release it when SoD expansion was ready. Today they release SoD expansion with BG EE and BG EE II patch, but they decide to not include the ready italian translation (that was already ready one year ago). They have no respect for the free work of the translators (yes it was a free translation), that's why they don't deserve any more money. I will not buy any games from beamdog again. Italiano la traduzione italiana era pronta già un anno fa, sul forum ufficiale hanno promesso che l'avrebbero rilasciata con l'espansione SoD. Oggi hanno rilasciato quell'espansione e le patch per BG EE 1 e 2, ma della traduzione italiana di BG EE 2 non c'è alcuna traccia. Non hanno avuto alcun rispetto per il lavoro gratuito dei traduttori (avete capito bene, hanno avuto le traduzioni in italiano gratuitamente) quindi non meritano neanche un centesimo. Mi sono pentito di aver acquistato queste EE, ma sicuramente da me beamdog non vedrà più niente. Invito la communità italiana a ribellarsi a questa assurdità
English I thought it would be a cinematic game, simple and very short, judging by howlongtobeat and from the reviews. I hated "a bird story" for this fact immediately I did not mean buy this game. Then for 3 € and art design compelling curiosity won ... I decided to buy it for 3 reasons: 1. there is the Italian, and is translated very well. 2 is cross-platform (also runs on mac) 3. is light and it was cheap. and I was pleasantly impressed for 3 reasons: 1. is longer than I thought. Short, but not very short. 2. is more challenging than I thought. Nothing impossible but it is not an interactive movie (it is like a simple 2D platform). 3. The art design is spectacular, a lot more than I thought. It is an excellent game that easily deserves 5 stars ... definitely not to be taken at full price, but it's a little gem that I'm glad to have discovered. Italiano Pensavo sarebbe stato un gioco cinematografico, semplice e molto corto a giudicare da howlongtobeat e dalle recensioni. Ho odiato a bird story per questo infatti subito non volevo acquistare questo gioco. Poi per 3€ e l'art design convincente la curiosità ha vinto... ho deciso di acquistarlo per 3 ragioni: 1. è presente l'italiano, ed è tradotto benissimo. 2. è multi piattaforma (gira anche su mac) 3. è leggero e costava poco. e sono rimasto piacevolmente colpito per 3 ragioni: 1. è più lungo di quel che pensavo. Breve, ma non brevissimo. 2. è più impegnativo di quel che pensavo. Niente di impossibile ma non è un film interattivo (è più un semplice 2D platform). 3. l'art design è spettacolare, molto di più di quel che pensavo. È un ottimo gioco che merita tranquillamente le 5 stelle... sicuramente da prendere non a prezzo pieno, ma è comunque una piccola gemma che mi fa piacere aver scoperto.
I think this demo deserve 5 stars. the game mechanics are really great, the demo is a complete level, is cross-platform (you can play it on windows, mac and linux), it's difficult but not impossible to reach the 3 goal of the game, rewind time is a very cool feature and it works great. It runs very well on my system (macbook pro retina 15'' 2012 with nvidia 650m) on very high. enemy and girl react on the path you choose (but you can always just change path with rewind time). The best is you can make time go also when you're not moving just press q... you can also choose many and many path, it's really cool for a stealth (and all path works for different gameplay). What I want to see in the final game? A save/load option... because if I want to complete a perfect run I need lots of time, and sometimes you just want to stop and come back later. Anyway it's a stealth, a save/load feature is really important (but I will forgive frozenbyte if they choose to not implement a save/load feature). Some alone mission. do the bodyguard of Lily is great for the demo, but it's also great to do mission without bother about an AI. Anyway for a free demo this is really lots of fun... I'm sure I will buy Shadwen. The graphics is ok, it's an indie after all. the setting is really cool, I will wait to see the final game but the demo is really cool. If you love stealth this is a really good one (not a modern too easy one, this is really difficult like good old one (hitman 2 for example)). if you suck at stealth maybe this is not the game for you (since in this game you have to stealth, you can choose to kill or not to kill, to be detected or not, but you have to stealth).
I think that Dragonfall comparation kill Returns good... Dragonfall and Returns are really different but both really good for different reason. Dragonfall is good because it has a really deep and non-linear story-line, long and with a perfect gameplay... but many secondary cmp quests are better than the main quest (that it's good but not really original). In Dragonfall Berlin (the central hub) it's the most important place. Returns is a really good linear investigation story... it's short compared to Dragonfall but it's still really good. there is no real hub, you move throught location... it's like a good demo, when you finish it you want more of it.... but when you take it out of comparation it's still a long, creative and interesting game. If you ask me you have to play both Returns and Dragonfall... and you will remember really well the plot of Returns while you will just remember part of Dragonfall plot.
Italiano C'è un motivo per il quale Deus Ex 1 è famoso per essere il miglior videogioco di sempre... il motivo... lo è davvero. È perfetto? No ha tantissimi difetti, eppure è anche la sua imperfezione a renderlo il migliore. Il doppiaggio atroce risulta incredibilmente efficace nel ruolare il personaggio, inoltre rende il tutto davvero molto divertente. il gameplay elaboratissimo rende difficile iniziare... ma una volta che si inizia ad imparare si possono fare tantissime cose... e ogni punto investito ha poi alla fine il suo peso. Le sparatorie non sono granchè e questo spinge a viverlo come uno Stealth, ed è proprio in quel campo che il gioco dimostra il suo pieno potenziale. Deus Ex 1 è uno stealth RPG, è sia uno sia l'altro, ed è un gioco UNICO nel suo genere. Funziona inoltre benissimo con wineskin (quindi su mac). Lo consiglio? Assolutamente, l'ho giocato per la prima volta nel 2015 ed è diventato il gioco al quale faccio riferimento per il mio genere preferito in assoluto. Prima di giocarlo pensavo fosse un FPS... non solo mi sono dovuto ricredere, ho dovuto anche constatare che nonostante la grafica in prima persona il gioco ti da tantissime occasioni per "mischiare le visuali" tramite dialoghi e specchi che rendono l'esperienza davvero unica nel suo genere. English There is a reason why Deus Ex 1 is known to be the best video game of all time ... the reason ... it is. It's perfect? No it has many faults. The dubbing is atrocious it makes it really fun. the elaborate gameplay makes it difficult to start ... but each point has invested in the end his weight. The shootings are not great and this pushes to live like a Stealth, and it is in that field that the game shows its full potential. Deus Ex 1 is a stealth RPG, and is a game UNIQUE of its kind. It also works well with wineskin (mac and linux). I played for the first time in 2015 and became the game to which I refer to my favorite genre of all.
