Cyberpunk 2077

The illusion of choice and consequence

First off I feel I need to inform potential buyers that Cyberpunk 2077 is NOT an RPG. I repeat, this game is not an RPG, but rather it is a scripted open-world action game with a sprinkling of RPG elements. So, it you're looking for a deep roleplaying experience with consequence for choices in dialogue and actions, then you should definitely look elsewhere. The graphics are nowhere near as good as what was shown off over 2 years ago, and I'm running this buggy mess on a $4k alienware gaming rig purchased in November -_- NPC and enemy AI is virtually non-existent, and the world of Night City (or Night Sh!tty as I call it) feels lifeless and boring. Character customization is completely nonexistent, and there are no cosmetic alterations to speak of concerning your gear and weaponry. Neither can you customize your vehicles or the single sh!tty appartment you start with. There is only ONE romance option per sexual orientation and gender, and most of the characters you meet are completely devoid of personality and likeability. As a huge fan of the REAL Cyberpunk as conceived by the great Mike Pondsmith, I feel completely let down by the utter lack of meaningful content and how every plot thread feels like it is railroading you into a specific path. In short, there is no real choice or consequence. Driving is completely broken and buggy mess, leaving me to prefer walking and fast travel to driving. The soundtrack, or rather lack of a soundtrack, is unacceptable. Has no one at CDPR ever heard of Synthwave/Retrowave? I DO NOT want to listen to sh!tty "punk" and RAP in a Cyberpunk world!!!! Give me synthesizers and 80's style guitar solos!!! -_- Another problem I have is the setting. It's called Night City, and yet CDPR felt the need to brighten everything up with sunshine and palm trees. What part of NIGHT in Night City escaped you idiots? The entire game shouldve taken place at night, with only a few exceptions. In short, there is no immersion -_- Don't buy!
