First of all: THANKS SO MUCH GOG FOR BRING THIS GAME BACK!!!!!!!!!! It's my always all time favorite Space Opera - Game. Played WC (III to V), Freespace I + II and some others. But this game is the (to me) the perfect mix of story, trading, space-fighting and a beautiful art design (menus etc.)... The strength is the mix! Definitively a MUST HAVE!
Honestly, i know and love both versions of GS. This new platformer deserves a huge success. - Beautiful (ingames switching between good/bad mood) Art/Level-Design. - Extraordinary Soundtrack - Exact and good controls - CHALLENGING ( ->without<- being unfair!!!!) nothing for easy casual consoleros! - astonishing low price (would buy it for 20 EUR too!) In summary: A beautiful platformer for PC that you have rare seen in the last years with an astonishing low price. You can't make a mistake!!!! Thanks to BFG (Black Forest Games) for this gem!
This game is timeless good! Still today it looks beautiful in it's very own way. The gameplay and Story reminds me of times where games were made with passion and not with marketing goals in mind. Oh, and be careful. You have to be very thoughtful to not to die.. this is not a "simple shooter". Even Arcade Mode could be challenging! Give it a try. It's one of the best! Honestly!
To be honest. This game GOT very bad credits because of his severe bugs. But this is gone! All you have to do (if GOG not already did it) is to apply the free available community patch. Ẃith this patch, this game is IMHO one of the best RPG's I've ever played! It's open world and it's so fantastic just to look at the wild life, scouting through the world. So often forgott to follow quests. "Only this Dungeon", "what happens if I jump this waterfall", "where will i get followoing this little beautiful river?". Those questios brings you to wonderful adventures you should not miss!
