One of the absolute greatest returns to a videogame franchise since forever. This is classic ID Software turned up to the nth degree, and it only got better with its sequel Doom Eternal. If you’ve neverer played DOOM and want a good starting point that’s not from the 90s or early 2000s, THIS IS IT! Just remember: to kill the demons, shoot them until they die. Go forth, Doom Slayer.
This game scared the hell out of me when I was younger, and still does today, because it’s simply that damn good at its job. Not only is the AI for the Alien genuinely good and terrifying in its ability to catch you and learn from your playstyle and errors, but the team behind this game gave proper attention to detail when designing the world; there are no holograms or fancy tech here, everything is chunky, used, and complicated to use. Which makes hiding from the Alien and other threats that much harder. Have fun ;)
I've only played the iOS version, but here's why you should probably get this version anyway: Your soldiers can ride undead warhorses. You have a mustache. You have a whole ARMY of warriors, also undead. You can defeat your enemies and EAT THEIR SKULLS. Their's a rocking soundtrack to bang your skull to. What's not to love? BUY IT.
