Maybe it is a good game. Maybe it is not. I remember it as decent a while back and wanted to take another look. Turns out I can't without disconnecting my hotas. Looked around a bit on the internet, seems that this issue is not specific to my device, but also affects controllers. For 4 years now. If a bug that prevents people from even reaching the main menu lasts this long, it probably is here to stay. Meaning the game is not.
