The Suffering: Ties That Bind

Pointless

A pointless, redundant sequel that ruins the original. Everything is worse. Gameplay sucks. The combat sucks. The fov sucks. You cant hold health bottles anymore. There is a weapon limit for some reason... The graphics are so ugly to look at. The original game's graphics were old but not ugly. It had aesthetics and atmosphere. It also had a more interesting location; taking place on an asylum/prison on a secluded island. A location with a dark history. Ties That Bind takes place on the streets of Baltimore 🙄 Also there is no thought behind the enemy design, unlike in the first game where there was a meaning behind the enemies. The story sucks because Torque's story should have ended in the first game. Despite everything i found closure and satisfaction at the end of the first game and felt it should have been left like that. This game is loud and obnoxious. With terrible pacing. Garbage.

SWAT 4: Gold Edition

Tense

A very tense, scary, but satisfying game. Nowadays these type of games tend to be more multiplayer/co-op focused. Good to see a satisfying campaign. Alot of tactical options. Cant go in guns blazing. You want to maximize your score by keeping the bad guys alive. You have to properly manage your squad because your AI team can be very dumb at times.

Clive Barker's Undying

Inconsistent

An interesting variety of weapons and enemies. Different locations. Starts off as a true horror game however the game gets less spooky as it goes on. You go from places like a mansion, to catacombs, etc, to pirate hideouts and to weird tribal looking places. And it just progressively loses its tone. Although the graphics are old I love the aesthetics and atmosphere. Last boss fight is kinda crap.

The Suffering

Good

Good characters. Good story. Good combat. Good gameplay. A large arsenal of weapons. A simple but satisfying morality system. My only complaint is sometimes enemies keep spawning for too long.
