Ashes 2063

TC Peek for Doom Mods.

A2063 Is by far one of the best TCs ever. Everything was carefully crafted. Like others said, this is a Doom mod (or Total Conversion, in this case) that plays and feels more like a 3D engine game in the world of Fallout. The story is intriguing, there are some subplots that while they are optional, they add to the whole narrative. The atmosphere is on point and the combat is incredible. If you try it (and for 0$ you should) you should know there is a Prequel/spin off (Dead Man Walking) that works as an expansion of the world and then there are 2 sequels, Afterglow, which is hands down the BEST doom TC of this kind, and Hard Reset which I didn't play it yet (shame on me) and didn't read anything to avoid spoilers... Go and experience Ashes 2063, and then go grab Afterglow and get blown. And if you can, go and find Vostyok and give him a hug (or donate some coffee).

He is Coming

The gameloop is cool.

The runs are fast and you have room to plan ahead. There is a lack of options, say, binding the controls, but that might change in the final release.

Hollow Knight: Silksong

Just as good if not better than the og.

Disclaimer: I didn't finish the game yet. First, and this is a big middle finger from Team Cherry to the Hole industry: 12 BUCKS for a STELLAR GOOD GAME, no 70, no 60, no 40, no 20 BUT 12 DOLLARS. I will be more than confortable paying 40 bucks for this game knowing how much I enjoyed the first one. And now the brief review: SO far the game is amazing and well paced. Everything that was good about the original is present and somehow better in this sequel. The fact that Hornet is not silent like the Knight makes for a richer character. The enviroments are more vibrant than the first game and the animations are more fluid. The art, while minimal is still on point. The music is just superb. I will review this again with more details when I finish the game.

Gravity Circuit

This is not nostalgia.

Yes, I grew up with Megaman but hear me out, this game is THAT good. Back when it came up, it picked my attention but I had no time to play it. Lucky for me, now I have time to remedy that. This is not a Megaman rip off, This game clearly has inspiration in the blue bomber franchise, but has his own identity, firstly, you are way more agile than X/Zero, and yes, you are a melee character, with tons of moves and ways to approach combat. The controls aer spot on, Kai feels great to control. You have collectibles and challenges to do, The collectibles helps to upgrade Kai's active and passive skills. The game is doable with your basic stuff. Thanks to indie devs for passing the tourch to the new generations!

AMID EVIL

One of the best Boomer Shooters, period.

There is nothing else to add, the game oozes charm left and right. The visuals are jaw dropping (yes, even when it feels like an old shooter from the late 90's). The weapons feel good and the gameplay is smooth.

TUNIC

Legend of Zelda Souls-like

This games start pretty charming and easy, but the game does not hold your hand at any point. Exploring is rewarding, boss fights are though, and the story, while a bit cryptic it is a little bit darker than you might thing looking the colorful and charming tone. I really enjoyed my time with it.

Nobody Saves the World

Underrated gem.

From the team behind Guacamelee. The game is fun and engaging. You can play it casual with somebody since dying is meaningless must of the time.
