I think this is one of the best games ever made. The story, the characters, the customization, the enviroment, every single detail in the game is truly breathtaking. I put around 300ish hours in and I still fire it up to drive around in nigh city and soak in the atmosphere it gives. Gameplay is top notch, with various builds and playstayles that are too numoerous to try on even multiple playthourghs. Combat feels meaty and the guns are amazing to handle and vary a lot. The looks on this game is literally unmatched but at the same time it became more and more optimized to be enjoyed on a lot of different builds and specs that you can tailor is to your machine. And the monotization of this game is something to marvel at alone, no boosters or microtransactions. I don't know how these guys are still doing this, but I think this game turned around to be even better than what was advertised before launch. I definitely recommend this game.
How often do you PLAY a musical? That's basically the premise of the game which is really heartwarming and the music is actually really nice, it doesn't bend over backwards to try and make the concept work. The gameplay and narrative really mesh together in a really nice way and the gameplay is actually really nice and is lean that doesn't require much to finish it. The art is really distinct and has a really nice charm to it. So this game is really nice to go through if you're down to a fulfilling relaxing time.
So this game is kind of brilliant in how it is simple but also heartbreaking in the best and most amazing of ways. The art is truly unique and beautiful to look at alone, and the puzzles in the game are not that hard but good for what they are out to do. The music is also calming and fills you with content. And the theme of the game really hits home with me personally for going through something similar to the character in the game and so I think this whole experience transcends being a game and is quite literally a work of art. If you're into games like Journey, or Sable, then this game is 100% recommended for you and it's really worth every penny to support these amazing developers to make more games because they really are talented.
This is the beginning of the brilliance that CDPR had and it shows that they understood exactly what they were going for and what their ultimate goal is and there's so many things that can be noticed here. So first off, the story is unmatched with the amazing chains of events and choices that are presented to the player that will play off in totally unexpected ways with many many beloved characters, some of them might be familiar and some new but all are equally fleshed out and have a ton of personality that they feel like real people. The RPG aspect of the game is passable, not gonna lie, it's not the best in the series or even ever but it gets the job done, the traversing of the game is kind of bad but you get used to it. The music is top notch as with all Witcher games and the combat is simple but there's tons of customization to add more flavor to it. Overall I would recommed this game for Witcher fans who want to go through the whole story after the books.
I finished this game a while back and didn't know there was a review process for GOG so I'm reviewing this off memory. So this game has a really nice atmosphere and it encourages a very specific kind of player who isn't as niche as one would think but also not as widespread either. The controls are really tight and extremely satisfying when you pull off a good combo or what you're set out to do. The visuals are nice and simple and also has a distinct art style which is really appreciated as well. Finally the soundtrack is really one of the best I've heard in a while. So all in all, I would recommend this game on a sale or if someone is REALLY into drifting or arcade kind of gameplay or even a relaxing time in between mainline games.
