Resident Evil 2 is a perfect sequel, it takes everything that made RE1 a great survival horror, and dials it up to 10. Great Atmosphere, great characters, the goofy, yet better voice acting. The police station is easily one of the most memorable set pieces in survival horror.
Quite frankly, Resident Evil 1 has aged like milk, however once you learn to chug down the lumpy cheese-consistency milk, you find a game thats dripping with silly B-movie enjoyment, it's not as great as the sequels that follow, or even the remake. However every now and then its simply joyful to go back into where it all began, and where capcom started a whole new genre of game.
