I have yet to actually play this game, but i think i know the real events that inspired it. I have read an article several times written by a survivor of the Bosnian civil war of 1992-1995, and it seems remarkably similar. I will most certainly be purchasing this in the near future. I imagine it's frowned upon to post a link to the article, but googling Bosnian civil war survival Q&A can find many versions of it.
