Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty

Phantom Liberty

Haven't finished PL yet. The escape was great UNTIL the Quick Time Events QTE - what a disappointment. Hated them in the Witcher; it means I won't replay Cyberpunk for a very long time, if ever. Quick Time Events - should be banned. If you want to show a cinematic, show it - but let me play the game instead of scripting the way I have to play. PL seems a lot more intense than a lot of the original Cyberpunk. Great voice acting all around 👍👍👍 but you ruined it with QTE. Hope there isn't any more.

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition

W3 needs work

The stuff I liked: graphics superb; great characterizations; good plot with some unexpected twists. The stuff I didn't like: maps were almost useless; the QTEs; the QTEs telling me which key and when to press; a game obviously made for consoles and controllers not a keyboard and mouse; too many things were not well explained in the game; while the tutorials have been improved with patch 2.0, there's still a lot of things in the game that are confusing; why do I have to meditate to take potions; why do I have to meditate to look at some of the stats instead of just pressing a button to gain the info; while I could view all kinds of new armor and weapons, there was no way to directly compare it to my existing equipment; why can't I apply runes over top of runes? Make it easier to compare equipment and upgrade it or change it. Maybe after making the first play through, a bonus would be to get lots more money, so you could try out more weapons and armor and more options on equipment. I have nothing against the QTE animations when they provide plot information or summaries that don't fit gameplay, etc. But playing Henslet and just walking him up a path - WTF - what was the point, could have just as easily been an animation. Let ME play the game, not set it up so you can insert some cute animation that I see over and over again. If you want to make a game, make a game; if you want to make a bunch of animations, make a movie.
