We are back to the 80s, the golden age of adventure games! If you liked titles such as Maniac Mansion, Zac MacKraken, Indiana Jones and the last crusade and Monkey Island, you have to try this game. Thimbleweed Park brings together hilarious characters, great humor, mystery, memorable references to the culture of the 80s and a surprising ending.

The journey of Guybrush Threepwood continues! I found the story of this sequel of Monkey Island interesting and it kept me hooked. Take into acount that it's necesary to play the previous games of the saga to understand how plot is developed. The diary with photos of Guybrush's adventures is a fine way to look back on best moments in different Monkey Island games. I love the cartoon art style which bring fresh air just as the style change that was made in "The curse of Monkey Island". We will meet again iconic characters (the Voodoo Lady, Herman Toothroot, the Sword Master, Murray, Stan, Wally) and funny dialogues. Puzzles are well balanced and the in-game help will avoid you to get stuck if you need a hint. Personally, I think the conclusion is well made and creators explain it in the letter that you can read after finishing the game. Many players didn't understand this metaphor of life and are very dissapointed. It's normal that people disagree apreciating a game.

The Secret of Monkey Island has been a reference for adventure point and click games. I enjoyed playing the original game in the early 90s when I was a chlid and I still do enjoy with it. Good puzzles, great humor, original trials to be a pirate, a George Lucas cameo (find him!), entertaining characters and loads of grog!
