I already own 2 copies on CDs and just added this to support the GoG version after refunding the poor NWN: EE latest on Steam. Sadly, the E.E. does not support custom content very well at all. Hopefully that will be addressed/patched in the future, but until that is fixed, this version is superior IMO. No problems with installation and I was able to load my campaign, which I have been working on since 2007, with no problem. I also encouraged my friend to buy a GoG copy, as we intend to play my campaign in the future, once finished. This version also supports my 3440 x 1440 monitor and multiplayer no problem. (You need to port forward on the router, but that's not a major issue.) I would make one request of GoG: At the moment, this version suffers from the same problem as the original CD version in that if you have the toolset and the game open at the same time on Windows 11 24H2, we can no longer alt-tab between the two applications without the computer crashing. A FIX fror that issue would be very much welcome as the ability to do so expidites script and conversation edits. NB: I am currently running on 23H2 without issues. The problem is 24H2 only. If you like D&D v3.5E, run a party by yourself or with a friend, this is still the best game to buy. On top of that you have access to hundreds of custom built modules, amny of which are still being supported. My own included, which has much of the UI altered to offer more unique gameplay and additional PnP feel gaming.
