Sword of the Stars: The Pit - MindGames

A well-priced expansion

It seems like most people seem to forget that most games used to have expansion packs sold around 15 dollars which carried a handful new levels, gamemodes and all that stuff. This is the same but cheaper: You pay 5 dollars for TWO new playable characters (those who have played this game will know 2 characters is quite a lot of variety), two new modes, which is nice, TEN new floors (I barely get past floor 5 and I've already played for hours!) and an expanded meta-game! I can't really see WHY you could complain about buying it for 5 dollars. Look at the Binding of Isaac - Wrath of the Lamb... Wasn't that a really fair expansion as well? Seriously, GOG'ers, stop giving troll reviews to expansion packs just for them being downloadable and costing money.

System Shock® 2 (1999)

Look at you, hackers!

You know what's more awesome than Deus Ex, in my opinion? System Shock 2. It has a well-told story, EXCELLENT rpg mechanics, a spooky atmosphere and a great sci-fi vibe. I can't put this game to words. Just buy it.

Deus Ex™ GOTY Edition

Unforgettable.

Deus Ex is a complex First Person RPG developed by Ion Storm and published by Eidos/Square Enix, and you have probably heard of it at some point. It's a first person RPG with remarkable depth in story, gameplay and mostly RPG mechanics. You'll be able to play the game as you please; Kill all people, or play stealthy. You can chose to be a great lockpicker, or you can have heavy weapons to blow doors open. There are multiple ways to finish missions; you can find an airduct and sneak in covertly, hack turrets to have them clean the area out for you, or just go in guns blazin'. The story is also something unforgettable that I wont spoil, but it's deep. Get it, it's only 10,00$, and for that, this true GOG is worth it.

Terminal Velocity Legacy

Great, speedy arcade shooter.

Let me start with this: I didn't play this in the 90's when it originally came out, so this score isn't driven by nostalgia or anything. Terminal Velocity is fast, fun and arcade-y: It's easy to get a hang of, and you'll be blowing stuff up within the first minute of play(And I have to say that just that is EXTREMELY statisfying for some reason.) It always plays at a fast pace, and you always keep moving. It's not realistic or anything, it's just a plain vehicle shooter. Yes, it gets repetitive after a while, but I personally like it in this game... If you like arcade vehicle shooters, pick this up, you owe it to youself!
