This game is as close to perfect as a thing can be. I loved every second of it and I cannot wait to get time for a second playthrough. There were a couple awkward bits with the combat, but they're minor niggles at best, and the rest of the game is polished and well made enough to overshadow a slight flaw. The story was gripping and well written, the companions were all interesting and enjoyable to get to know, even when they''re being terrible (you'll know who I'm talking about in short order). The classes are all unique and interesting, each one playing in very distinct ways, all feeling different but not so dissparate that going from one to another in combat feels awkward. The world feels vast and well thought out, with so much lore and mythology and a history that feels real and deep. This game is definitely at the top of my list as of now, and I'm sure the sequal will join it in short order.
