The strength of this game is in the unique and well developed characters that the player encounters. But this game has dozens of outlandish human and non-human individuals sharing strange cultures in a sweeping story about getting back to the player's proper time period. Game play involved some back tracking but the puzzles and objectives seemed logical and intuitive for me. I never felt like something wasn't fair or poorly implemented. Graphics look good and the game is solid with no issues. For $3 it's a great value.
I picked this up because I enjoyed Broken Sword 1 and thought it would be similar. Unfortunately, the graphics are so low resolution it was causing eye strain. After getting frustrated I consulted a guide and discovered I'd missed several items hiding as a pixel in the background. First I had to use the "look" icon, then the "open" icon, then the "take" icon, on a pixel. Don't buy this. Get the newer version. Your eyes will thank you.
