Cyberpunk 2077

It's... okay. A solid Meh

Was buggy as hell to start with, but a lot of that has been resolved, so no need to hold that against the game in 2025. Some parts are good - combat, story. Some parts are awful like 205mph being no different to 65 (which feels like 35) when driving, which is pretty useless. The city *still* feels dead - you get more unique and interesting NPC interaction stood on a street corner in San Andreas, let along GTA5. Combat is great fun, but very shallow. There's a few types of weapon with a million different versions of each gun - but you end up making the CP version of a stealth archer all the same. The Cyberdeck is fun for fighting, but again there's only a few different modules, then you are into an upgrade cycle. I thought the story was okay / good. Pretentious, but that's kinda the point with this sort of game I guess. For all it's tech advances, I'm not sure that CP brought anything new to the genre that GTA SA / 4 / 5 haven't already done years before - even Sleeping Dogs was better in the driving and fighting variations, but it's not bad.

Moonstone: A Hard Days Knight

The gods pause for a moment

I remember spending hours / days trying to get this to install on my Amiga hard drive back in the day. The floppies were almost worn out and it would sometimes crash trying to load. Adore this game, very hard - some luck required, but even 25 years since I last played it I can perfectly remember the music and text - brilliant brilliant game.
