Songs of Conquest

Thank you so much

So you start the first campaign and immediately the game reminds you that it is in fact the 2020's, with the first two major characters being human female warrior-commanders who act exactly like you'd expect a man to. Trully, if THEY were competing in the olympics no trans athlete would steal their gold. Obviously one is black, in case you somehow still had any doubts about the current year of our Lord. It doesn't even look like this game had a DEI consultant breathing down the dev's neck telling them to make the female sprites uglier, or how insensitive it is to have a race of swamp things that are enslaved and that there isn't enough homossexual intercourse in your strategy game. It just seems that they decided to greet me with empowered wamen as a defense mechanism against *spit on floor* game journos having a hissy fit over literally anything that isn't progressive propaganda. Regardless, I am imediately un-immersed from an othwerwise quite gorgeous looking game. Thanks! The annoying 'the swamp *insert thing*' lines in the second campaign don't help with increasing my interest over whatever is being discussed. Nor did the terrible writing in the first campaign when characters didn't realize they were obviously being pitted against each other and instead of discussing the problem princess girlboss had a more... straightforward solution for removing living obstacles from her path. Gotto act her part in being a brute that only values honor and the letter of the law, like any normal woman. Fair difficulty feels like you can't lose, worthy feels like you can't win. And when you realize you can't win but don't want to restart from scratch (no changing difficulty on the fly)... do it anyway, because there's no cheat codes or console commands and the save files have been encrypted somewhat recently, as there are posts online explaining how you could do it in 2022. Thanks! Also game is set to send data to dev by default, which makes me 100% sure about disabling it.

Baldur's Gate 3

Never put your trust in game companies.

Larian taught me you should *NEVER* buy a game on pre-order, even if you thought you trusted the company. My rating is unfair to the artists who worked hard and are involved in a wildly abitious and largely sucessful project. What we've seen in the game up to this point is nothing short of impressive, and yet expected from a company with larian's catalogue. That said, unfortunately there are other problems, and I'm not talking about the development time, which I understand had to be long. Some minor gripes of mine include the launcher they added and the fact they release some information exclusively on the other virtual game store. While I understand GOG might not have the resourses for dev posts, I don't see how this would stop them from posting the same info on twitter to keep everyone on the same page. What really pissed me off is that the latest patch is somehow unavailable on GOG, and upon asking for clarification on social media... there's no reply. I have no reason to believe that they randomly decided not to upload the patch to this platform this time, but if they don't tell me the problem is not on their end I have no way of knowing whether or not it is. Finally, according to what was said in the latest patch showcase stream, they're adding radical -left progressive anti-scientific propaganda to their game, n0n-b!nary nonsense, which means larian will be just another sucessful entertainment company slowly sucked dry of all its talent to be replaced with friends who share the same ideology. This was the most telling sign, but it wasn't the first, as they have complained before over white, male and human OC's being the most popular. I've seen this movie before enough times to know the results, and it's a shame fans of the RPG genre will be precluded from the art pieces that could have been in the horizon of the company. As it stands I wish I had been more patient, as to avoid funding things that go against my values.

XCOM® 2

War of the Chosen makes it unplayable

The base game is great, war of the chosen makes the quick save hotkey not work most of the time. Unplayable.

Pathfinder: Kingmaker - Imperial Edition Bundle

F*** censorship

Pathfinder doesn't have the principles to stand against censorship crazed virtue signalers, and caters to their demands, by removing and promissing not to adress themes such as slavery in their fantasy settings. Mission acomplished, slavery ended. Oh no, wait. That was the chance of getting my support again in the future.
