Hollow Knight: Silksong

An offer you should not refuse

20 bucks is a steal. If you like difficult games and can spare the 20€ you should give this a try! It isn't perfekt mind you! Bossruns, an abundance of spike pits and a cruel relentlessness not even seen in From Softwares games can make this game rather tedious at times. Most of the time it is very good though. A lot of exploration, Bossfights are cool and challanging and the graphic and sound design are just something else... I wouldn't be surprised if this game gets an "easy mode" somewhere down the line. A few more save points or a "stake of marika" equivalent for boss fights would make this even better. And the damage could be reduced for certain moves. So far i am happy with the torture i inflict on myself but an easy mode would make this thing a lot more palpable for more normal audiences. And i believe that would be pretty nice!

Disco Elysium - The Final Cut

Masterpiece

Always super funny. sometimes profound. If people play this and still doubt that games can be art they must be thick AF.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous - Enhanced Edition

The REAL Baldurs Gate 3 ;)

Hi, Lets make this short and sweet: I really like this game. There is a lot to like here: In depth character creation a VERY long Game, good companions (both personality and stats), seamless transition from real time to turn based (You should use both) and a nice story with many, many choices. The Crusade management is the only downside. I love Bg, Pillars, Divinity, I don't like Heroes of M&M much. And even if i did it isn't done very well. But you can turn it off immediately so i won't hold it against them. No gamebreaking bugs this time. As os this point! A great game and a must have for any fan of isometric CRPGs!

Tainted Grail: Conquest

Flawed but VERY Fun!

It is not "as good as slay the spire" Great! We got that out of the way! However maybe you did play StS already and look for another Deckbuilder? You should give this a shot. The atmosphere is grim dark and in this genre, that is rather refreshing. I mentioned flaws: The Game feels a little janky in some places. You can keep walking into objects while on the map wasting time and candles (more later), necessary information about your enemies IS displayed but not very clearly. It is also a little on the long side for completing a run (well over 1,5 hours) you can save your progress though. There are MANY upgrade systems at work here. All of them work and are interesting. You need candles! They provide you with additional cards. If lightlevel is high they grant positive effects. If it is low they gonna harm you. 9 characters?!? More like 3 characters with meaningful variations within 3 archetypes! Still pretty damn good. You will need the many, many meta progression upgrades to succeed. So your first few runs will be tough and destined to fail. The writing is pretty good. Most of it is voice acted. Ranging from good to... well... not so good ;) Never horrible though. The overall story is intriguing but if you are like me and prefer mechanics you can safely ignore it. A lot of effort has been put into this game for sure. and it shows. If you are into deckbuilding games give this a shot. You won't regret it!
