STAR WARS™ Rebellion

Good ol Times

Thanks GOG I got this title back on my computer. As a fan of the empire, I never was happy with all the Star Wars games dealing alone with the Rebell Alliance. Here in this game I finally got the chance to prove, that the Alliance never should have a chance to win. On any difficulty level. Without the deathstar.... :P Only major flaw in this game: the event "natural disaster"....if you like to play longterm, this overpowered event will randomly wipe out economicalwise one planet after another, because it kills infrastructure/mines, which are then gone forever. No repair/ replacement possible. The planet is then a poorhouse and can barely sustain planetary defence and that´s it. In frustration I remember myself blowing them up with a death star (after the rebells easily conquered them), which did not even change their planetary value much. lol This, plus old graphic makes my 4 stars. Tip: Use as many lancer frigates as possible against the Alliance´s masses of fightercrafts.

Disappointment

Every game set in the time of the prohibition I bought was a disappointment for me and this one is the newest in this hall of disgrace (and the worst). The only "mafia" game I ever enjoyed, with funny details, gunfights and crime, was in fact....Mafia Game....played on the Commodore 64. Computer games have really changed since then. :/
