I didn't play this game on launch, I think it came out in 2014 and I played it first in 2018 or something like that. However, I think it 100% deserves its rigtfull place on RPGs Olymp, I won't ever tire recommending it to newcommers. I wasn't into classical RPGs like Baldurs Gate (1 & 2), or Icewind Dale, or Neverwinter. I played Planescape Torment a bit, but real time with pause wasn't to my liking. Games like Fallout 1&2 though, damn I love turn based fighting. My friend asked me if I'd like to play in co-op and I gladly agreed. First it's a good time with friend, second - it's a game that runs on old 2013 Macbook. I immediatly was captured by music in game's menu, music in this game is fenomenal, one particular track lives rent freen in my head - the tavern theme. Didn't think too much on character creation, just went with the vibes and wasn't dissapointed. The artstyle of the game is fantastic - just a perfect mix of cartoonish goofines and fantasy aestethics. The humor of the game is top notch, when one particular chest spoke to me I thought I'd have an encounter with a mimic, but what actually happened was even more funnier. The main story is solid, some might find it a bit simple or cliche, like a plot of B movie, but it's doing its job. The game really shines in characters and side quests. PET PAL IS MANDATORY! Game is immense and although there's not much reactivity to your character's actions I still find myself replaying it just for the atmosphere and gameplay. Some issues with the game: 1) No crossplay between consoles and PC (I hope when in 20 years we get a remaster it will be there); 2) No 4k textures (I think), maybe some mods address this one; 3) Co-op even between 2 GOG versions was finicky at times; 4) Game is co-op first, playing it in singleplayer mode might be a bit annoying with persuasion minigame when trying to get specific outcomes for custom characters.
