Lovely pixel art graphics, great gameplay and fun story. It even has LAN multiplayer! More games need to support LAN, especially on a site that claims to be DRM free. But what I'm happy about, is that GOG is finally doing something for DRM multiplayer and that it's clearly specified on the product page what kind of multiplayer the game supports. Thanks guys, keep it up!
The game is good fun, with decent stealth mechanics, combat and atmosphere. It's a bit on the heavy side as far system requirements are concerned, but nothing too dramatic. Ryzen 1600, 8 GB of ram, GTX 660 here, and I'm in the 60 fps ballpark. The coop portion of the game intrigued me quite a bit, but you can't play over LAN, only via internet with an external application, making it not DRM free, basically. Please GOG, do something, I'm here for DRM free games, even for the multiplayer portion.
Great game, top notch level design and gameplay, incredibly modern and reminiscent of masterpieces like Quake, Duke 3d and obviously the original Shadow Warrior. But why on earth there's no LAN and the user is forced to use external clients that query servers over the internet to play LAN? This is DRM, don't get fooled. GOG MUST do something about this issue, Shadow Warrior is not the only game guilty of this, there's also Necropolis and Deserts of Kharak.
A real retro top down shooter, with combat that feels great, that gives you a great sense of accomplishment. As good Enter the Gungeon and Nuclear throne are, they often get boring and feel too inconsequential, Tower 57 corrects this issue for me. A great mix between stuff like The Chaos Engine, Shock Trooper and Diablo 2, with 2 players same screen multiplayer. Get it if you are looking for something like this!
Great atmosphere, very good gameplay, awesome graphics and sound design and story that doesn't get in the way. It only lacks multiplayer, preferably LAN or four players split screen to go around and explore in coop mode. Maybe even a DM FFA might be possible. Recommended if you like to game without being distracted by stories or whatnot. Great fun!
I love this game. It's beautiful, tight, atmospheric, dark and humorous. But why there's no LAN support? This is not the only game on GOG that has this problem. I came around Deserts of Kharak recently, and it too has no LAN, and in that case you need to use it in conjunction with GOG galaxy to make it work, which makes no sense. I use GOG to have DRM free and external programs free games. Please GOG.com, fix this and make the devs that publish over here to have a LAN option on their games.
