It goes without saying that this game was launched in an unfinished state. Features has obviously been watered down or removed entirely to meet pressured deadlines. It should not have been released in the state that it was. That being said, I am very happy that they did release it. After years of waiting and going through grueling delays, we finally got our hands on it. And although the experience is a watered down version of promises and riddled with bugs. I can say that after almost 200 hours of playing it, its one of the greatest gaming experiences I have ever had. If this is the lowest point of this games history, the game can only achieve greater heights. I would personally call this a early access version of Cyberpunk 2077 where you can play through the entire story line. But it has a lot of rough edges that needs to be ironed out. If you want a polished experience I suggest waiting another year from the time of this review before picking it up. It needs a lot more work done to it before it can be considered finished. The Bad - Lackluster AI making parts of the game not meaningful or breaks immersion. - A somewhat lackluster user interface. - Plenty of bugs and glitches. (Although I have never had a game breaking experience) The Good - Great story. - Multiple ways to develop your character offering unique game play experiences. - A beautiful world to play in. - Well crafted and memorable characters. I have now shelved the game and hope to come back in 6 - 12 months to revisit my experience in Night City hoping that the developers has been able to provide meaningful updates to the content that needs to be fleshed out to elevate all the potential this game has. After all is said and done, I love this game and I can only see it getting better as it matures through patches and updated content. And I am eagerly awaiting putting another 200 hours into it at some point in the future. If you want perfection, wait for a year or two.
