There are a lot of things to say about Cyberpunk 2077, good and bad. I have played about 110 hours with my first character, and i'm a bit disappointed. Genre : The game is an Action-Adventure game, not a RPG like they sold it. A lot of mechanic seems to be from a RPG, but they don't really impact your gameplay. Graphics : The city is beautiful, i take my hat off for the artists who worked on it. Each district has its own identity, and you can easily be amazed by some lighting effects when you're chilling on a street between two missions. Tthe lighting doesn't look good on the characters. Story / Open world : I think it's the best part of the game. I played as a female V, and the actress delivered a perfect performance, the emotions were palpables. In the main quests, there are some moments of grace, like the heist for the act 1. For the secondary quests and gig, there are ok but the gigs are a lot repetitives. At the beginning, the city seems incredible. There is a lot of people and traffic in the rush hours. But, after some hours, you noticed behaviors from npc that break the immersions. And, apart from the quests, there is nothing to do in the city, no interactions with NPC or companions. RP and gameplay : The character creation part is bad, they should have keep the one from the demo 2018 (Saint row 3 did better) The life paths don't impact the story at ALL, and, generally speaking, any choices in the game. There is no style/street cred mechanisms in the game, and it's a huge let down for me. The video 2077 in styles is from the 25th october 2020 and, for me, it's at least a false advertising. For the gun fights, it is very good. The tech weapons are OP. The cyberware changes a lot the gameplay and adds a lot of fun. UI : Weird choices they made. The crafting menu isn't practical. And, once again, the menu from the demo was a lot more beautiful. So, it's a fun and good game, but not a revolution and especially not what they showed us in the trailers.
