It never got better...

You go into these things expecting the story and plot to get better or at least eventually coagulate and explain the reasoning behind it all. Not with this game. It's very pretty, but the writing is amateur cyberpunk fanfic at best. Uninteresting characters, no motivation, no attachment to anything, just a series of tiny "moral" choices that are more like bludgeoning shame porn. WT actual F were they thinking? Didn't anyone play this before release? It's hard to believe that anyone with a room temperature IQ would have even signed off on this mish mash of tripe.

XCOM®: Chimera Squad

a fan made flash game

it plays like a fan made flash game designed for a console and crashed to desktop before i could even finish the second mission. voices are awkward and in no way match the aliens they're supposed to represent. the muton sounds like an apathetic pothead and the snake lady wants to see my manager. you don't get to create or recruit your team, nor do you get to customize them. you occasionally get to select one from a choice of three captain planet rejects. oh, and be sure to print out your SJW cliché bingo card before you begin. this game is a piece of crap and an embarrassment to the XCOM franchise...

Neverwinter Nights 2 Complete

it's better and worse than NWN1

In many ways NWN2 exceeds what NWN1 did as far as mechanics, graphics, and game play in the best way possible that still gives many modern games a run for it's money. However, it also makes everything that was terrible in NWN1 worse in ways that should never have allowed the game to be released in the first place. Network issues, ATI graphic card incompatibility, unfixable jittery camera issues, and the worst player/camera control that will cause you to kick a small puppy in frustration. There are 3rd party fixes that take care of everything but the horrible player control. Unfortunately none have been modified to be compatible with the GOG release... yet. It's a great game with some fantastic expansion and if you can get around the gaping flaws, you will be able to enjoy it.
