The game has a lot of promise with a nice concept and amazing art. Unfortunately it is terribly unbalanced, and repetitive. It is not enjoyable at all. Fights quickly become ridiculously unbalanced, are always the same (your 4 guys vs hordes), and leveling up your guys does nothing but increase stats. No new classes, weapons, abilities, nothing. Avoing unless seriously discounted.
I never played a modern football game and I don't even follow the sport but this game... it is so brilliant on how you had to control the ball with pure skill. I spent to many hours taking clubs from the bottom leagues to the main stage. So much fun!
I got this game on some floppy disks from a friend back in the day. There was no manual, no tutorial, I spent hours first figuring out the mechanics of the game and then playing and I loved it. To this day I have not played another strategy game that was so satisfying in regards to being able to design your castle. I am glad I now have the chance to buy the game as at the time it was not available retail in my country so piracy was the only solution.
