Freedom Force return in this the second of sadly only there two outings. The game follows on from the first and tells a great story from the Golden/Silver age of Comics. For those familiar with the first game nothing much changes here, it’s all just tweaked and refined to offer a better playing experience (if that where Possible). Combat is a mixture of real time and paused to make commands. The game just drips quality and love and it was sad we never got a third in the series. One of the greatest superhero games ever made.
A plague tale innocene is an excellent game. It's well write, acted. Looks fantastic and builds nicely to a dramatic if frustating finally. The battle at the end was my one grievence with the game. not sure why but it was an excercise in frustraton for me. The main characters are very well fleshed out to the point there journey and bonding feels believable in context of the story. I can't recommend it enough for those that like stealth base games. Try the demo if you can.
Greedfall is Spiders best game to date. A game with flaws in every area, which is lifted by its multi part story and side quests. None of which are mediocre, all of which build into the larger narrative. An excellent colonial era setting, with something to say about how Europeans treated the lands of the Americas and beyond. Voice acting is great (with exceptions) and characters are fleshed out enough to care about, though with a bigger budget far more could have been done here. Combat is fast and action packed though certain aspects (Guns) feel overpowered. If I have any issues with the game Apart from the Sound problems I encountered it would be the world itself. The world is detailed and lovely but it feels static and empty. Towns are bereft of citizens and those that do exist merely stand around all the time or follow very basic back and forth scripts. Similarly the creatures in the world have no routine and aren’t varied enough after 60 hours. But not to end on a low note, this game deserved to be played by anyone who loved the original Dragon Age or RPG’s and I can’t wait to see where spider go next. Hopefully, a return to the colonial era world of Greedfall.
Raven Software know how to make a Shooter. They lived in the shadow if ID software but they know there stuff. Singularity is an excellent shooter and a fine example of Raven almost at there best. I say almost as there are a few frustrating sections in this otherwise wonderful game. These sections aren't helped with the game betraying it's console roots using checkpoint instead of quick saves. The game still feels and looks fresh today. Weapons are sutiably meaty and enemies are varied. The over all feel of quality is helped by a tight and fun story that at times is reminicant of bioshock in feel. A time traveling adventure where you get to master a set of smart time bending skills. You use these to over come the enemy and solve puzzles. At it's best when your fighting the soilders in the many set pieces. At the sale price a must have for any FPS fan.
