These games, particluarly the original Phantasie, along a few others like Ultima and Bard's Tale, were my introduction to CRPGs as a child. They were straight up dungeon crawlers with some backstory thrown in for fun. Unfortunately you don't get the full experience with the printed manual and other things that we used to treasure out of the box, but I'm excited to see these available for purchase. I cut my teeth on the C64 version, so I'm biased towards the graphics from those games, but the PC games were just fine for their time as well. I don't expect any issues with the emulation to allow these to play on a modern PC, but if experience any issues I'll update this review at that time.
