Cyberpunk 2077

Just not what the game should've been.

This game hurts to play and think about, I wanted it to be my next Skyrim, where I could lose myself for 1000+ hours roleplaying my character the way I want in a dystopian cyberpunk world. The gameplay loop can be fun. but everything else is just lacking. The story is so lazor focused on getting you to the next set peice, it forgets to take the time to get to know the characters. Johnnies sudden change from "I'm gonna kill you" to "I want you to live" was very jarring, it plays like it expects me to trust and respect him straight away after, but give no reason as to why I can trust him. The build up of your freindship with Jackie and working to become respected Mercs is done in a montage, ( Why can't I play that six months, doesn't even have to be the fuull six months. I just want more time than one mission and suddenly im in the "Big Leagues" The city is empy, it looks pretty, but its only skin deep. As soon as you try to interact with it, the game fulls apart as you can't. The veriaty of jobs or how to do jobs is lacking. and no recurring jobs. you clear the markers on the map and then you got nothing left. But the story doesn't want you doing side missions, as doing side missions freels like a complete waste of time when "YOUR DYING!" Needless to say, I'm not hopeful this game can be saved. Not without a New Game Plus Mode, where I play through it with the story turned off. But the story is only part of the problem, there are too many, and most if not all still need huge amounts of work doing to them.
