I just write this review to rectify other old reviews, the game is updated and the version is newest than Steam one, so the game on GOG is a superior version, works perfectly on Windows 10 and is a very fun and addictive strategy game, a classic that you can play today without any problems. If it just for the gameplay, this game is a 6 stars, but has some technical problems due to the lack of a proper remaster, UI doesn't scalete properly on 16:9 or any other modern resolution, so I recommend to play it on 1280x720p. Another problem is the tutorial, is really bad, one of the worst tutorials I ever play, the game can be a little complex for those that are new in the game or in RTS in general, so I recommend you to check some videos before start playing. Besides that is a Majestic game (soery for the pun).
Well, I don't know why people get offended by this game, surely was a controversial giveaway but a giveaway non the less! Well I haven't finish it yet, but it's a really fun game, the combat is fast and the levels are short, there are different types of enemies that add a component of variety and strategic to the game cause you have to know how to react to reach the end of the level with most of your workers safe. In the game you can also play as the policeman an try to stop the riots. The game has a political message that brainwashes you and try to make you a communist? Nah, that's BS. Well now I have to sleep, tomorrow I will take the factory with my comrades and we will destroy the demonic capitalism!!!!
Devolver Digital is specialist in publish great try-die-repeat games, Disc Room is not the exception, you will die a lot in this game but you are back in a flash, despite this is not a really difficult game, once you understand the disc varied mechanics you can figure it out an strategy very fast, I will recommend it because I spend all the night playing this game and really deserves some love!!!! It's simple, fun, quick and cheap, plus it run in any machine, I even test it in a Intel HD 4400 and no problems at all!!!! If you have doubts I hope this help you ;)
The first game is localized into other 4 or 5 languages, voice and text, when I installed the game is completly in Spanish. Now to the review, this game is Torchlight before Torchlight, several mechanics are identical, and that is not a bad thing, the game is really fun, the story is a little bit simple but it's not the main thing in this game and combat it's what you can expect from an ARPG (aka Tunnel Carpal Syndrome genre). I really recommend it fpr all the Torchlight fans!!!!
Mad Max was an underrated game at it's time, was release close to the release of MGS V The Phantom Pain and many people overlooked this title, vut is a really good and fun game. The GOG version is the superior one for two reasons: 1- It's DRM Free: currently is the only version 100% DRM Free, they have removed Denuvo from the game. 2- It has all the DLCs and Pre Order content that is not avaipable for purchase anymore, that's mean that is the most complete version you can purchase out there. The game has great graphics, and incredible performance, now even better after they removed Denuvo, great hand to hand combat, very brutal and is based on the Freeflow Combat Syatem of the Batman Arkham series, a car that you personalize, a massive open world full of missions and side activities, and some really good characters. Is super recommended even at full price, worth every cent!!!!
My first game in the series was Wasteland 2, a really good CRPG that reminded me to the classics Fallout 1 & 2, with a well written story, good dialogs and many interesting characters, really enjoy the game, the difficult and the grey morale decisions (and the consequences), I could say is among my favorite CRPGs of all time... So, when Wasteland 3 was announced, I had some high expectations with the game, if I had written this review in the release date, it would have been a pretty negative one, because some gameplay changes and the removal of the micromanagement of the inventory fell pretty shocking for me, like the game was made for casuals even on the highest difficult, and I have to say I was wrong, after the first hours once I adapt to the new games mechanic, the game is so f*cking fun!!! Is less difficult than Wasteland 2 but is far from a easy game. The game is bigger than is predecessor and have much more decisions, difficult decisions that have consequences at short, mid and long term, the world feels more alive (even on the bring of destruction), the RPG aspects is more refined and the missions are much more clear than W2. At this point, patch 1.3.3 was released, InExile hasn't stoped adding new content and fixing the game, is super recommended, so if you see the game on offer, don't doubt, buy it and you won't regret it, after 3 playthrough and having played almost 200 hours, I can say that pre order this game was a good decision, I love it!
This game is like drugs, could be a little bit complex to understand, but once you play the tutorial and you get the hand of it, it's super fun and you will fall in the "one turn more" addiction, yesterday I was going to play just and hour and lost 7hrs of my life..... Worth it!!!
DISCLAIMER, I don't own the game I just post this as a warning. Apparently the game is in development at the moment (02/18/2021) they announced in the news of the forum (https://www.gog.com/forum/general/in_development_shores_unknown_11584), check the first comment, probably it was a mistake and the game is not listed as "In Dev", until they solve it, use this review as a notification!!! For the modders, fell free to remove this review once the situation has changed. Good day!!!
