The Journeyman Project 3: Legacy of Time

Played it with my father for hours

First off: I didn't play the GOG "version" yet but got my old 4 CD game running on my pc and I'm looking forward playing again without doing the whole "I need to tweek this whole thing that way". The setting ist just crazy and it is quite simple to understand a bit behind it. The sci-fi elements are not that dominant throughout the game as only the HUD really gives you the feeling of being a time travelling dude with some special abilities. For the game itself it is really good if you like to solve puzzles in a unique style that needs you to often do something first on another place in the same timeline or even in another timeline. The visual style aged a bit badly but what do you expect of a game with prerendered and real life actors which give the characters something special? Still it is quite pleasent to the eye and can be looked over as you are more involved with getting this one puzzlke done you can't quite figure out yet. And don't get me started with Arthur...he just rules. End of discussion. His jokes/banters? Priceless. Even in german (which is the version I played first and unfortunately it is not available here. But still, the jokes are just genius). Overall: if you want a challenging first person puzzler, buy it and just feel how the game takes it's toll with some hours of your precious time. After completing it a few times this time is cut into smaller pieces but it still is as good as the first time playing it!
