It's kinda hard to say what makes this game great. It just has everything explorers would love. I think. Interesting world >Chests everywhere with random loot - tier based - also what I think is possibly the best way of doing it. >Spells of all sorts - thinking back that this is 1999, you can fly, teleport, water walk, area of effect, bouncing spells, vision spells, meteor spells, charm, dispel, cure disease yada yada yada, yeah every bloody spell you can dream of. >A choice of good and evil, where evil is better for spellcasters and rest good. is what it is, you will wanna go all sides anyway. >Factions - yet even if not so much text and all you kinda get the idea, it's just magically well done. >Items are random and fun, always fun to see the loot, from start to finish about! >Classes, where you can pretty much choose your own difficult It's just a solid game, even if dated, I wish other games could "try" and copy this formulae and make it better. Like someone else mentioned, the power gap, the levels, you do feel you level up and when you expert or master something even more! It's amazing! If you could bear the graphics and controls enough to just get in to it, you will have a gem from 99 that is still a masterpiece here in 2023! Maybe the game is just that good, or the devs of latter are.. Just that bad :)
Just like all witcher games it gives you a feeling of satisfaction! Great game! I would go as far as political correctness fascist on this and say that anyone who disaggrees with me doesn't know anything about good games and are not worthy to speak ever again :) But I judge all gamers else equally, as long as you share my gaming opinions, ofc!
I find no words for this, It's simply a masterpiece and I cant wait for them to make baldur's gate 3. If anyone should make baldur's gate 3 at this day and age it surely is and rightfully so by Larian Studios! Hope they take romances even a notch further, like the star wars old republic MMO(swtor) in BG3.
I have this game on steam, I sort of feel like buying it here on GOG as well because I want to support GOG and Larian studios at the same time. Hand made quests, that are fun! even a simple fetch quest will be fun because it rarely is just simply fetch and retrieve! Combat could be improved yet the gear and all makes it all worth it. Brilliant game, and every quest was fun! If you have played kingdoms of amalur you will surely not regret this game either. This game is a hidden gemstone, do you dare to try find it? Larian studios has yet to disappoint me
well one dude gave 1 star for this.. I felt like giving 5.. Yeah, is it GOGs fault that GOG and steam arent sharing? It's likely boths yet a gutfeeling tells me that DRM steam daddy is the one mostly against it. do you want to support GOG more than steam? do you rather want to play multiplayer on steam? meaning all multiplayers should be on steam? that what you want? Just yeah McDonald's doesn't serve you Burger King's burgers.. I mean it sucks, but it's just like that... Steam has their own servers, just as McDonalds has their own burgers? But I will rate it a one star because the logic didn't get through me? I mean it's just burgers?
