Cyberpunk 2077

Incredible game riddled with bugs

It's a bummer that they couldn't get this game finished. When you push this hard to make a game this ambitious, it's gotta be difficult to stop pushing. This game is basically in early access. In every part of the game there are bugs. Every aspect of it, from combat to driving to AI to stealth, all of it has several obvious signs of not being fully completed. As a quick example (no spoiler) - when an NPC is driving a car and you're in the passenger seat, they don't steer. Their hands stay fixed at 10 and 2 and the wheel slides back and forth inside their hands. I believe this doesn't occur in the intro story, only after. Maybe they were hoping to fix this bug before people got that far, but that's a great example of the kind of bugs there are; very obvious ones that they probably know about and just haven't had the time to fix yet. And possibly more bugs the further you get in the game. This rarely gets in the way of completing missions or doing things you want to do, but when it does it's annoying. And the graphical issues, which are common, break the immersion frequently enough to prevent the game from truly shining. I almost wish I waited until the issues are fixed to play it for the first time. You can't play it for the first time again, and my first time playing wasn't playing a completed game. That being said, throughout playing the game I keep finding myself thinking "Damn, if they had all the bugs fixed this part would be so cool". Gameplay-wise, they have taken pieces from GTA, Fallout, and The Witcher 3 and merged them together. Lots of driving around the city and having a wanted level like in GTA, tons of random mini-missions that pop up like in The Witcher 3 (i.e. similar to saving someone in a cage or taking out a monster nest), and the combat I've found most similar to Fallout 4, but with more depth with the inclusion of hacking objects/people. Very fun game, with tons of easter eggs. It will be one of the best games ever made. Eventually.

Kinda buggy, but Amazing

Yes, it does have a good amount of bugs. But if you arent' intentionally looking for them, it isn't a big deal. The bugs don't take away from the overall experience of the game. For me, graphical bugs are what do this the most, not gameplay bugs. And the only ones I've seen are gameplay bugs. The game looks AMAZING. It's pretty unreal to me seeing these characters in such incredible definition, when I'm used to seeing them in the old versions of the cartoon. I love it. The game is tailored towards kids, obviously, so don't be expecting incredible story or sophisticated humor. It does have some good humor for sure, but a lot of it is more for kids. Still a very fun game for all ages. Very atmospheric and incredible eye candy.

So many amazing elements!

I've only played for about 2 hours, but wow. The game looked amazing from the screenshots and video, but I didn't expect to like it this much. - The puzzles are fun, even if they aren't anything particularly new. - Gameplay is a good balance of difficulty and skillfulness. - Characters are pretty cool, although I haven't gotten too much into the game. - Haven't gotten to the open world aspect yet, so not sure how that works - Just barely got into the RPG element with the skill tree, and it looks really cool! Definitely not overwhelming either. - Ok that's all I have for now. Fun Game! :)
