The game was launched in an unpolished state. The major problem was slow loading of the map which lead to many more bugs. Also there were a multitude of immersion breaking to gamebreaking bugs. The launch state was far from good. The gameplay however is very good. To make it clear, Cyberpunk 2077 is an RPG with a Witcher Style Open World, NOT a sandbox. While some RPG factors like the choosing of the character backstory loose relevancy after you have ended the prologue they are still adding to the immersion throughout the whole playthrough. Side quests are not only high in quantity but amazing in quality, well written and defined characters in non repeititve and very interesting short stories whith memorable rewards. Night City looks and feels amazing. For a non-sandbox RPG the very limited NPC interactions are not a problem. However the slow loading affects the AI of the NPCs heavily, often the same models of NPCs appear repetitivly until the area is loaded. Some minor tweaks, as are currently being worked on by independent modders, are enough to fix this issue and make the world feel more alive as Witcher 3. Combat gives you much freedom, all the mechanics and weapons handel differently. However the AI of the enemies is not very smart and sometimes pretty static, nothing too dramatic, some tweaks are however needed. After the fixes from patch 1.05 and 1.06 I can very much recommend Cyberpunk, however be aware that Cyberpunk is a performance heavy game and there are still many not-gamebreaking bugs that need to be fixed.
