Yes this is total carnage with a lot of jokes, but more so for it gives you the freedom besides the mission goals to let loose. It reminds me off a old game called syndicate with less blood and more cow poop....
i can play modern games, gatcha, mmo or even stand alone great titles and once done, none of them willl ever get me to revsit them unlike populous 3 does,. To me this game has heaps of replayability in it ranging from stratagy, building and even war party raiding, i can give a glowing review but the best way to see what it offers is to play it. Put it this way many modern games attemp to do what populous does, but none, ever seam to match it..
Thanks gog for bringing this to us, i have not played any diablo since i bailed on the franchise after a couple months of 3, it is good to have a classic back despite its age it is still fun.. In many ways i am glad gogs got many of blizzards classic's available get them while you can... at least before M$ gets thier mitts on blizzard and safespace's everything blizzard to irrelevance...
There are games that become legends and the homeworld series is one unfortunatly negleted until recently, this game originally named catacysm is my favourate in the series, it continues on from home world having won your original homeworld back, you now take on the persona of a normal mining ship thrust into a crises involving an infection, You have to take your ship with no support on a hunt to find the source, like homeworld at each stop you gather resources, research/upgrading and produce your ships, at the same time fighting the plagued ships in true 3d space, it has a good story that unfolds as the game continues. To those who have never played homeworld. it is IMHO one of the best real time stratagy games even today, it is set in true 3d space that forces you to think in 3d to beat the challanges, attacks can come from anywhere,, its assorbing and once you start playing you can not stop until its done.
