I bought it on 2.0, and the only thing i was disappointed with was fixed in 2.1. (They added wheelies!) I'm on my second run, around 216 hours played. Combat is great. The missions are memorable, and there's a ton of smaller gigs you can take for quick cash and unique items (cars, weapons). The world is beautiful. It's also real immersive, has an actual culture and history that you can learn about if you wish. Great game. A few crashes, though. But I've never lost more than a few minutes of progress. 9/10.
I know the review guidelines say I should stick to my in-game experience only, but my experience in-game was partly shaped by the store-page experience I had. The store page isn't labelled with Early Access, and you have no indication that the game isn't complete, apart from the last line of the description, or until you boot up the game, when it tells you it is in Early Access. Otherwise, the game looks like a game, released in 2019 that still has content being made for it, which is very appealing. The page clearly states there is controller support, but you can't even rotate your character. What's the point of saying a game supports a feature without having actually implemented it yet? In-game, it says it's incomplete and is being worked on, but having purchased the game partly because it had controller support, it was very disappointing. A better choice would be to just wait until you update the game to fully support controllers, and THEN tag it that way (unless that's impossible, for some reason). After wasting time trying to get the controller to work properly, I later tried playing it with a mouse and keyboard, and really did not enjoy it. I'm not too familiar with other games of this genre, so it was very confusing for me at first. I'd much prefer a short, dedicated tutorial level, instead of the pop-up prompts. I had issues with the wall-sliding, but that's configurable in the gameplay menu, which isn't immediately obvious. I like the art style of the game, and the idea sound very fun. I also like that you can change the resolution so low that you can even play this game on a potato, below the minimum requirements, if needed.
