Cool concept. You are the boss of a dungeon and gather minions to defend it against the heroes entering it, along with some traps and even fighting yourself when things get ugly enough. It's not as in-depth as something like Darkest Dungeon would be, but it does have a decent element of strategy to it. A run in the game is similar in length to a run of Slay the Spire, to give you an idea. It's quite fun to gather new monsters and form synergies between your teams. There's a lot of variety when it comes to monsters as well so chances are you'll prefer some monsters over others and will actively look for them, so it has that collectible element as well. I bought it at 10€ and I feel I'm getting my money's worth, since the game is very replayable as well.
After playing for more than 50 hours I can safely say it is a fantastic CRPG, and the closest to a true Baldur's Gate 2 successor there has ever been. I have not encountered any bugs so far either, so reviews mentioning those must be outdated or I've just been extremely lucky. What I like most about the game and what it truly reminds me of BG2 is how your companions behave in the game and the story. Other games like Pillars honestly failed at this, they would barely interact with each other and with other NPCs, but Owlcat have done a fantastic job in this game when it comes to interactions and reactivity. Other than that, the game is not just a copy/paste of the BG2 gameplay, and many aspects have been greatly improved and expanded (I'm especially a fan of the resting system, where you assign tasks for your companions while you're camping). One thing I should mention is that the game does have timers and you'll fail quests if you take too long completing them. But it honestly gives you plenty of time to do them so it's never really and issue, and more something to make the game a bit more realistic in how you proceed (you'll have plenty of time to do every side quest for example). Congratulations to the team for this wonderful game. I can't wait for their next game.
Great game. The obvious comparison would be Theme Hospital but this game is more realistic and complex. You build and manage a hospital by hiring employees and managing their needs. Earning money doesn't seem too hard, which allows you to focus on making sure your employees are not overworked and that your patients get the treatments they need. The new doctor mode is a great addition for you to roleplay as a doctor you have created (you start as an Intern). If I could ask for more I would say there's not enough variety when it comes to character faces. Some QOL features would be great too. Like for example, I don't think you can delete walls by pressing Ctrl like you would in The Sims. Other than that it's a fantastic game. The DLC is also worth it, and I hope they make more.
Surprisingly great RPG. I loved pretty much everything about it: artstyle, music, UI, battle system, difficulty (the game is great on hard mode) and writing (loved the characters and the dialog). The game does have a few minor drawbacks though. Losing a party member usually means you either have to restart the game or revive them immediately, because otherwise you get stuck with a bunch of cards you can't use. But it's not a big deal. The best part about the combat is mix and matching party members using combos (which you absolutely need to do if you play hard mode). Theis leads to interesting combat situations like for example, Galeo is supposed to be your healer, and Copernica your wizard. But by using combos you can actually heal more effectively using Copernica after a certain point in the game (I'm talking about AoE heals, Galeo is still the best when it comes to status ailments and regen stuff) if you do a combo with Galeo in your party. Orik is also quite fun to use and he has easily the best combat animations in the game, I love it. The game lasted me for about ~30 hours or so (should be less if you play on normal, probably), which is honestly a positive. So many RPGs out there that stretch the play time with so much filler you don't even finish them in the end. My only complaint is honestly the final boss, I thought it was too easy compared to the challenge that was the rest of the game, it was a bit anticlimactic. But still, had a great time with it and hopefully there's a sequel (or some DLC) in the works.
